Going to see Santa

So every year we take the boys so they can sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they want for Christmas. This year things have been different because of Austin. As I was standing in line with the three of them Jaron starts to tell me how Austin keeps telling him and Landon that he doesn't believe in Santa. I tell Jaron that it is sad that Austin doesn't believe in Santa and how we all need someone to believe in us. Jaron responds quickly how he believes in Santa and how he loves him. After my discussion with Jaron I turn to Austin and ask him why he doesn't believe in Santa. He tells me because magic is not real. I try hard to convince him how there is magic everywhere and that magic is true but I see that the conversation has come to an end because Austin has a look on his face that their is no way I am going to convince him, but before I end the conversation I tell him not to try to talk people out of believing in magic and that everyone has the right to believe what they want to believe. He just gives me this look "Ya right Mom WHATEVER." It is finally our turn to visit with the big guy Jaron and Landon run up and jump on his lap. Austin has look on his face where am I suppose to sit? He finally squeezes next to Landon and tries to tell Santa that he wants a dirt bike and a new cell phone only to be interrupted from his brothers excitement of wanting to tell Santa what they want. Jaron tells him he wants a new ds since he put his old one in the sink to clean it and it no longer works or that he would settle for an ipod. Landon tells Santa that he wants a PS3 remote controller so that him, Jaron and Austin can all play on the PlayStation together. After telling Santa what they want for Christmas I have them look and smile at me so that I can get a picture. We are walking away when Santa calls us over one more time to tell the three of them that they need to stop fighting with each other. The looks on their faces was pure shock they could not believe that Santa knew that the three of them had been fighting with each other alot lately. I tell them that Santa always knows what they are doing and that is why I keep telling them they need to be good. Austin is so shocked and thinks for a minute maybe he does believe in Santa and then shakes that idea out of heads and has a look on his face saying NAH. Jaron asks me so we only have to be good one time a month and that is enough to be on the good list? I tell him no you need to try to be good everyday. Landon response is WOW he does know what we are doing all the time. I enjoyed this moment with the three of them very much and will always remember this Santa memory.

Ice Skating and Christmas Lights

We went ice skating downtown at the Gallivan Center with the Medicis, Inskeeps, Records, and Masocks. It was so much fun even though the ice rink was really small and alot of people. Landon and Jaron have really improved from last year. Both of them where out there ice skating without Sean and I holding there hand. I believe that they did better without us holding there hand. It was great ice skating with the Kelly and Paige where they almost fell with a little touch of your hand, keeping Sean from falling on the ice, and doing the train with Melissa, Chris and Deionn. After ice skating we all walked a few blocks to look at the lights around temple square. That was an adventure with our big group because we ended losing the Vernieuw's and then after finding them we ended losing Zach and James. I think we spent most of our time looking for people then we did looking at the lights. After the Inskeeps, Ang, and Nate left we decided to try again and look at more lights. Walking around temple square they started turning lights off and being escorted out since they were closing it was time to go since we were all tired and cold, but it still was a great night.

Jazz Vs. Mavericks

Our date night was going to the Jazz game against the Mavericks. The game started good and the Jazz kept the score pretty close. By the time they came back from half time they went down hill and the game dragged on. The second half of the game the entertainment for us was the couple in front of us. I don't think they even realize that they were at the game because they had so much to drink and where to busy distraction everyone else from the game with almost spilling there drink on a ladies head. The Jazz ended up losing to the Mavericks with the ending score being 93 to 81. Overall I enjoyed having the time together with Sean.

Decorating the Tree

This years ornaments for the boys where snowman and reindeer doing snow angels in the snow. Austin is so starting to turn into a teenager. It was like pulling his teeth to get him to decorate the tree with us in the beginning, but I think he started warming up to it. I really like it when we all decorate the tree because it puts me into the Christmas spirit.

Better Late Then Never

How blue are his eyes
Love how brown his eyes are

He gets so embrassed talking about girls

Landon wanted to do a serious one

So this picture's should of been posted the beginning of October. The picture's where taken for Jaron and Landon's eighth birthday and Austin's eleventh birthday. I also had some picture's taken with Maya in the picture to give a picture of his kids with his dog for his birthday. I really loved how great the picture's turned out and it amazes me how much they have changed from last year. To see the difference look at the big family picture posted at the top of our blog and you can see the difference. Getting picture's taken with Maya was quite the chore. First of all Sean had her leash in his truck so I had to use this cable thing which really hurt when she would tug on the leash because she was trying to run and play with the other dogs. When it was Maya's turn to be in the picture it was difficult to get her to look at the camera because she wanted to play with the boys. After a couple of hours having the picture's taken at a lake around daybreak we ended up with some good ones.

Sledding or is it Sliding

With Brian and Jessie visiting they wanted Hunter to have an experience with sliding that is what they call it back in the East. Well he didn't quite like it at all. Hunter got sprayed in the face with the snow and he was done. The rest of us Sean, Jaron, Landon, Austin, Heather, Tim, and I made sure to get in a few runs before we had to go. Lots of good tricks with trying to do spins and the longest trains. Brian and Jessie are just hoping with Hunter not liking sliding that he will like sledding.

UTAH VS. BYU

Well it's the last game of the season and we are all sad that we have to wait for 2011 football season to start. With it being the last game we made sure to get up to the stadium early since we haven't really gotten the chance to tailgate with the other games. With it being so cold outside we still made the best of it. By the fourth quarter Utah finally put us on the board and it was like we didn't start playing until the end of the game. With only minutes to go we were ahead of BYU but they had the ball and where taking there time trying to run out the clock. The plan was for them to try for a touchdown or at least get as close to there field goal to get field goal points. With like 4 seconds left of the game BYU gets ready to kick in a field goal and we all stand around feeling defeated already and sad that the last game of the season we where going to have a lost. Then Utah blocks the field goal and we WIN, yes UTAH WINS!!! the final score being 17 to 16. It was a great way to end the season.
