Wasatch Womens Race

Well Melissa got us all started on this race. She thought with it being an only women's race that we should all come together and do this together. I had been training to do this race for the past two months. I had not run a race in along time probably like 15 years ago. The race was done down at Thanksgiving Point. There where alot of hills and at times it was hard to even run especially when they had a run thru the gardens because the path was so small and so many runners. I finished the race in 45 minutes putting me in 451 place out of over 1800 people. I was hoping to finish the race in 40 minutes, but I felt with the nervousness of not knowing the course and not knowing where the bathrooms where I ended up getting a side ache which caused me to slow down my pace. I am proud of accomplishment of finishing the race and doing this with Amber, Becklyn, Tracy, Maria, Paige, Chris, Collette, Deionn, and Melissa.

Football Birthday Party

Since ALL of my kids birthday's are in October we have Austin, Jaron and Landon have a birthday party together. They got to invite the friends they wanted to invite and most of them showed up. We hostessed the party at the Skye Park since you know boys are messy. The older kids had there own football game against each other while the younger kids played against each other. Once that game was over the older kids had a game against the adults where the adults barely won. While they where playing I had the younger kids do races like relay, wheel barrel, frog leap, and how long they can make a line with there bodies. After the games we had the boys open presents and then moved over to smashing the pinata. Not everyone got a chance to take a swing at the pinata since we had so many kids, but they still enjoyed all the goodies that came out of it. Once all the excitement was over we did the cake and everyone got to leave with being exhausted from the games and lots of sugary goodies.

End of Flag Football Season

Well the football season ended great. When it all first started Jaron and Landon where not sure about tackling and getting in the plays, but they got the hang of it. Jaron was great at defense and loved sacking the quarter back even though they really where not suppose to touch the other players. I should say he was great at getting the quarterbacks flag before throwing the football. Landon was great at playing kicker and was always up for line driving the ball across the field. They both had the opportunity to get a touchdown and loved the excitement of scoring for there team. Over all I believe they both enjoyed playing flag football for there first time.

Happy 8th Birthday Jaron and Landon

For Jaron and Landon's actually birthday I had a few surprises for them. They had to start the day out going to have there annual check-up with the doctor. Jaron is in the 10% percentile for his weight at 47 pounds. In his height he is in the 25% percentile at 48.5 inches tall. Landon is in the 40% percentile for his weight at 53 pounds. In his height he is in the 60% at 50.5 inches tall. Which he is having a hard time with since he is the older twin by 2 minutes and Landon being taller than him. After there appointments the first surprise was taking them to Ihop which they enjoyed having breakfast food for lunch. The next surprise was taking them to Baskin Robins for some birthday ice cream. Jaron went with bubble gum surprise and Landon went with Reeses peanut butter cup. The final surprise for the day was taking them to Boondocks where Sean joined us. The boys first wanted to start with Lazer Tag and then we moved onto the go-carts. It was Jaron and Landon's first time to be able to drive there own go-carts. They looked so grown up and so serious with taking the car in there own hands. We moved onto the bumper boats where they proceeded to bump and spray each other with water. The whole family got the chance to play miniture golf where me the mom won against all the boys. Oh and we couldn't leave without playing the games and win lots of tickets so that each of the boys left with a special prize.

Utes Vs. San Jose State

It was a great night the Utes WON 56-3!!! It was our first game where we didn't have to be hot threw the whole game. The kids really enjoyed that moment of when the sun went down. It was also a night filled of cheering. It was the most that I have seen Jaron and Landon cheer and I loved it. Austin really got into doing the wave with the crowd. Great job Utes in taking down another team lets keep it going.

Save Your Skin Run

Sean, Me, Kelly and Paige did the Save Your Skin in honor of Ed Rader. Sean and Kelly did the 10k run. Sean finished 5th in his age group and 22nd in the overall race. Sean finished the race in 56 minutes with 9 minute mile. He was so happy with his overall finish because he really didn't get the chance to prep for the race with work interrupting his work outs. Paige and I did the two mile walk. We where awesome because we came first in the walk with our finishing time being 22 minutes. They put the race together very well, had lots of useful information, and the route was great. I am so proud of Sean for completing the race and it has been something that he has been wanting to start doing.

Brad Paisley Concert

Paige, Kelly and I walked from there house to get in line early so that we could get good seats on the lawn. Once we got in the gate they would not let us go up on the grass because they had another stage they where trying to get people to go to. After waiting at the taped off stairs for 30 minutes they let us up on the lawn. I got us great seats right in the middle of the stage and up in front on the grass. Sean and I went to the concert with Paige, Kelly, Maria, Bobby, Joe, Lisa, Kasey, Mike, Courtney, and Amy. Lots of fun listening to great music and hanging with great friends. It was the best way to end the summer going to a outdoor concert and listening to Darius Rucker and Brad Paisley.
